These smoothie recipes are loaded with nutrition from all of the fruits and vegetables but they are a bit high in natural sugar from the fruit so if you have to watch your sugar consumption just use ¼ of the fruit that is called for in each recipe.
Here are the recipes:
Banana Berry Monster Smoothie
- unsweetened almond milk for unsweetened coconut milk or soy milk – 1 Cup
- fresh frozen blueberries – 1 cup
- Spinach – 1 cup
- Small banana – 1
- Low-fat plain yogurt – 1 Cup
- fresh or frozen strawberries – 1/2 cup
- grated Ginger – 1/2 teaspoon
- Combine all the above ingredients into a blender, blend and enjoy! This recipe makes two servings approximately 12 ounces each. Each serving has approximately 32 grams of carbohydrates, 170 calories, 6 grams of protein and 22 grams of sugar and 5 grams of fiber.
I Love Summer Smoothie
- Unsweetened coconut water – 1 Cup
- Mango slices – 1 cup
- Kale – 1 Cup
- Banana – 1
- Papaya slices – ½ cup
- Low-fat plain yogurt – 1/2 Cup
- Flaxseed oil – 2 tbsps
- Combine everything in a blender, blend away and enjoy! This make 2 servings each with approximately 300 calories, 35 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber and 24 grams of sugar.
Avocado Delight Smoothie
- unsweetened almond milk for unsweetened coconut milk or soy milk – 1 Cup
- Baby spinach – 1 cup
- Green pears – 2, cored and seeded
- Avocado – peeled and remove the pitt
- Organic honey – 1 tsp
- Chia seeds – 1 tsp
- Squeeze the juice of ½ – 1 lime
- Just combine all of these ingredients into a blender and enjoy. This recipe make 2 servings each with about 190 calories, 37 grams of carbohydrates, 25 grams of sugar and 10 grams of fiber.
Prime Protein Smoothie
- unsweetened almond milk for unsweetened coconut milk or soy milk – 1/2 Cup
- 1 tbsp Solutions 4 protein powder
- Ground cinnamon – ¼ tsp
- Kale – 1 cup
- Green apples – 2, cored and seeded
- Grapes – ½ cup seedless grapes
- Banana – 1
- 1 cup of ice
- Combine everything into the blender and you have 2 servings of one of the best protein drinks. This makes 2 servings each with approximately 224 calories, 5 grams of protein, 10 grams of fiber, 50 grams of carbs and 37 grams of sugar.
