Weight Loss in Philadelphia Simple Trick That Controls Hunger and Cravings
Our medical weight loss program in Philadelphia has been helping people safely lose weight for many years. We have helped thousands of people achieve their weight loss goals and may have possibly helped one of your family members or friends lose weight. We have helped people that weighed over 300 lbs when they started with us and we have helped people that just needed to lose that last 10 lbs.
Our weight loss program is based on clinically proven weight loss protocols and weight loss medications that help reduce your appetite and boost your fat burning metabolism. And when combined with sensible eating plans is one of the safest ways that has been medically proven to help you lose weight.
Our weight loss program is firmly rooted in medical science and our weight loss results speak for themselves.
But with this being said often times it’s hard not to notice all of the glitzy weight loss programs that are being marketed to us. Sadly, the majority of these glitzy programs are based not so much on medical science but the marketing budget of the weight-loss guru that is selling them. It amazes me that these weight loss gurus can write a new book almost every other month. Just go to Amazon and search for weight loss books and click on one particular author and you will be amazed at how many weight loss books that person has written. It also amazes me how their opinions and methods of losing weight change with almost every book. In one book they might be promoting a low-carb high-fat diet, similar to the Atkins diet. And in the next book they could be promoting a weight loss regimen of just drinking smoothies all day long. Then the following month they could actually switch it up to promoting a high carb and low-fat weight loss program. And let’s not forget with each and every new book they come out with they also have a totally new brand of weight loss supplements for you to buy.
So with this being said; I confess I have a library that is filled with these glitzy type of weight loss books. Yes! I am just as susceptible to the marketing as you are LOL. I also read them in the hopes of gaining some new medically sound way of losing weight (to help our weight loss patients) and improving my overall health. Most of the time I’m disappointed because the new book that I purchased is just a rehash of something that has been written or promoted years ago.
My weakness for buying glitzy weight loss products struck again when I was standing in the cashier line at my supermarket and I noticed that in the August 3, 2015 Woman’s World Magazine the main headline stated the following in bold print, “Lose up to 400 Pounds! The Simple Trick Dr. Oz Discovered That Works like Gastric Bypass! Controls Hunger and Cravings!” Of course with a title like that who could resist buying it? So I bought it.
Paraphrasing the article; All you have to do is eat good healthy fats and drink a large glass of water 30 minutes before lunch and dinner. This is their simple trick that works like gastric bypass to help you lose up to 400 LBS.
So all I have to do is eat raw almonds and drink water twice a day and I could potentially lose 400 LBS? Sign me up!
I don’t know about you but this sounds too good to be true for me…
But let’s give them a chance to explain.
Quoting the article from Woman’s World Magazine, “The good healthy fat combined with a large glass of water stimulates a valve at the end of your stomach to close down and then the food must slowly push its way through the constricted valve – so it reaches the digestive tract very slowly, keeping you full longer and preventing sudden rises in blood sugar.” They go on to say that the strongest cravings that we have – are brought on by sudden highs and lows in blood sugar.
Now believe it or not there is some validity to this article. The strongest cravings that we have are usually brought on by sudden spiking and then the quick crashing of our blood sugar. These highs and lows in blood sugar are usually brought on after we eat candies, pastries, cakes and drinks that are loaded with sugar like regular soda. That’s why in our weight loss program we have you eat things like this in moderation.
And in our weight loss plan we know that good healthy fats help reduce your appetite and cravings. This knowledge that good healthy fats help decrease your appetite and also help burn your body fat has been known for years by the medical community. So this is nothing new. And if you have been working with healthcare professionals that specialize in weight loss you would already know this.
It just amazes me how people with huge amounts of money for large marketing campaigns can take something that is known for decades and promote it as the latest and greatest new trick to lose weight, get rid of your belly and get your bikini body.
But be careful! Because eating too much fat is not good. So don’t start eating a pound of almonds two times a day. Nuts are good fats but they are also carbs and eating too many nuts can spike your blood sugar and make you fat. Our weight loss patients know that if you are trying to lose weight you should eat no more than ¼ cup of nuts a day.
You see the article has some good tips but it left out a bunch of detailed information that you need in order to be successful at losing weight and keeping it off.
That’s why you need to work one on one with a healthcare provider who focuses on weight loss.
As of today August 5, 2015 we are offering a free weight loss consultation, for a short time. If you need help losing weight come in for your free consultation. During the consultation we will let you know if you are a candidate for our weight loss program and help you finally lose weight.

Doctor Loses Over 30 lbs With Medical Weight Loss Philadelphia
In our medical weight loss program most of our patients lose 2 – 5 pounds per week. They lose all this weight by eating delicious tasty food. And on our weight-loss program you eat real food that you would normally buy at the supermarket. You do not have to spend hundreds of dollars on pre-packaged meals like many other weight-loss programs.
In fact using our own medical weight loss program I have lost quite a bit of weight myself. You see I suffered a significant back injury a while back from a car accident. And these injuries caused me to suffer pain all day long and severely limited my physical activity.
Suffice to say I just got fatter and fatter.
Finally after being diagnosed with Diabetes, I realized that I had to make lots of changes and get myself together. So in the beginning of this year, 2015, I made the promise to myself and my wife that I would follow our medical weight loss program exactly as I teach all of our wonderful patients.
And I am happy to say that I have lost quite a bit of weight following our medical weight loss program. It makes me even happier to fit into clothing that has been in the back of my closet for years.

So losing weight was simple, delicious and easy. All I had to do was follow the plan.
The Phentermine works really well at controlling hunger and cravings so it’s easy to follow the plan when you are never really hungry.
One thing I did make sure was that my first meal of the day consisted of delicious protein. This pushed my body into fat burning mode and not fat storing mode.
It’s funny that in our weight loss program we make you eat to lose weight… While other weight loss programs have you starve yourself to lose weight.
So here are 8 yummy recipes that I enjoyed on my weight loss journey. I have them labeled as breakfast but you can eat them anytime of the day for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Spoon the batter into the donut pan and tap lightly on the counter to remove air bubbles. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes until firm. Let it cool before serving.
Banana Vanilla Pancakes*
Vanilla and banana go together splendidly in this recipe and using a vanilla bean creates very rich flavor. Vanilla beans contain some B complex vitamins and traces of many minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron and zinc. This means that the vanilla can help regulate the body’s metabolism and normalize heart rate and blood pressure.
Ingredients are as follows:
3 large eggs
2 large ripe bananas seeds from one vanilla bean
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
3 tablespoons of coconut flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
a pinch of sea salt
coconut oil for greasing the skillet and fresh fruit for topping. Directions:
Place the eggs, bananas, vanilla seeds and vanilla extract in a food processor and pulse until very smooth. Then add the coconut flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and pulse until smooth. Let this sit for about 10 minutes so the coconut flour can absorb the liquid.
Pulse again a few times. Place a large skillet over medium heat and brush with a bit of coconut oil.
When the skillet is hot add about one quarter cup of the batter and cook until bubbles appear on the top this should take about approximately 3 minutes.
Flip the pancake and cook until browned on the second side and cooked through. Repeat this process until all the batter is used. You can serve just topped with fresh fruit.

Recipes to Burn Fat and Look Great by Medical Weight Loss Philadelphia
Hello everyone Dr. Kenny here, if you are one of our medical weight loss patients you know that my mantra is “Losing Weight Should be Simple, Easy, Delicious and Fun. So with that being said here are a few more weight loss recipes that are definitely delicious and should help you achieve your weight loss goals of losing 2 – 5 pounds per week.
In my recent post of recipes on our website I have been giving you lots of weight loss recipes for weight loss smoothies and shakes in addition to regular appetizers, entrées, desserts and even snacks. The reason I have been posting so many smoothie recipes is because the majority of our patients are asking for quick and easy weight loss smoothie recipes because they do not have enough time for a regular breakfast first thing in the morning.
It just seems that everyone is always in a rush nowadays and there is never enough time to take care of yourself.
Most of the men I know are literally working 24/7 and most of the females that I know are also working 24/7 in addition to taking care of their children, getting them ready for school in the morning and then they head out to work or to take care of whatever responsibilities they have to attend to for the day.
So to me it seems that females have an even more difficult time taking care of themselves as compared to men. Now if you are man please do not be upset with me for saying this. I am a man, so this gives me the privilege to make such an observation. Honestly though, this is how it is in my house.
I do try to help with household chores and with the children but the majority of my time is spent in the office taking care of our wonderful patients. While my wife is taking care of the children, getting our youngest off to school in the morning and giving him a good healthy breakfast (because we know that young minds need good healthy food to fuel both their bodies and their brains to do well in school); in addition to this she also takes care of our three dogs and her parents. Not only does she do all of this but she also manages our offices and actually answers the phone and schedules the majority of appointments in our office. So when you call the office and if Elyse answers the phone you now know that she is my wife.
My wife is an amazing woman and she gave up her career in Pharmacy in order to stay at home and raise our three children and help us build our wonderful practice. So with all of this being said I know that women have a multitude of responsibilities and are not always capable of spending the time to take care of themselves. And that is why our weight loss program is designed to be simple, easy, delicious and fun and does not require you to exercise a multitude of hours each and every week.
Sorry! Sometimes I have a tendency to run on a bit LOL. But I am just very appreciative for the woman in my life and all the other woman in the world who are usually the backbone of their family and as such society.
Now! Here are the delicious weight loss recipes.
This is going to be a smoothie that is designed primarily for burning fat.

3 Weight Loss Recipes to Satisfy the Biggest Appetite by Medical Weight Loss Philadelphia
If you are one of our medical weight loss patients you know that I am always trying new recipes that will make losing weight delicious, simple easy and fun. And if I may say so myself I have done a fantastic job in finding and experimenting with these 3 recipes. My favorite is the smoothie recipe because not only is this delicious but it totally satisfied my hunger. So in our efforts to have our weight loss patients lose 2 – 5 pounds a week here are the recipes:
Dr. Kenny’s Ultimate Weight Loss Smoothie: I just made this for breakfast this morning and it is one of the best tasting smoothies that I have ever had.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of any non-dairy milk product like unsweetened almond milk – hazelnut or coconut milk.
- 2 ounces of heavy cream.
- 1 scoop of our Solutions-4 protein powder that is sugar-free and is very low in carbohydrates.
- 1 tablespoon of either almonds butter or melted coconut oil.
- 1 handful of kale.
- 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds.
- 1/4 cup of blueberries – optional. The blueberries are optional. I made the smoothie for my wife with blueberries because she likes things to be sweet tasting. But I made mine without the blueberries because I am trying to keep my blood sugar levels as low as possible.
- Combine all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until nice and smooth.
- This is a fantastic recipe because it gives you good healthy protein, good healthy omega-3 fats and a nice dose of healthy nutrients and antioxidants from the kale and blueberries.
Egg Drop Soup*
Ingredients:
- 6 cups of low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 teaspoons of reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 clove of garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground white pepper
- 2 medium carrots
- 1/2 cup frozen baby peas
- 8 teaspoons cornstarch
- 4 eggs
- 2 green onions sliced
Instructions:
In a large saucepan combine 5 cups of the broth, the soy sauce, garlic and pepper. Bring them to a boil. Thinly slice the carrots and add them to the broth. Add the peas to the broth and return to boiling. Stirring the cornstarch into the remaining 1 cup of broth, stir into soup. Reduce the heat and cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly, cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove from the heat. Place eggs in a liquid measuring, and use a fork to beat the eggs. While gently stirring the broth, pour the eggs in a thin stream into the soup. The eggs will perform fine shreds.
This is a delicious low carbohydrate recipe that gives you plenty of good healthy protein and healthy fat. In order to keep my body weight down and also to keep my blood sugar levels down I eat this at least once a day. And I actually prefer it better with out the baby peas and carrots. But that is just my personal taste; my children actually enjoy it with the carrots and baby peas. So that’s all up to your personal taste. Again this is an awesome recipe if you are trying to lose weight because it gives you a good amount of protein and good omega-3 fats. I hope you enjoy this recipe is much as I do. *This recipe was taken from the “ultimate diabetes cookbook” and this is a better homes and Gardens book.
